After a serious car accident, I had spent three years in physical
therapy trying to regain agility and mobility with two permanently damaged discs in my lower back. During my therapy/rehab, I had done some research on Pilates, but was never able to find any classes. I had the good fortune of finding a beginning class on Pilates in an Ohio Health flyer. I signed up and have been taking them ever since. It has been a year since I started taking Rhonda's classes and I have improved my strength and flexibility as well as reduced the intensity of my lower back pain/issues. I have finally found a way to experience a fulfilling, exhausting workout without impact. I can't wait to get out of work to go to class. Rhonda is involved with each student to ensure they are able to demonstrate the correct movements and fundamental techniques. She is patient and kind and makes adjustments to the class/content when needed. She is truly dedicated to each student. Not only have I been able to find a different workout that satisfies me like running, aerobics and weight lifting used to; I have found a workout that helps me de-stress, relax and take better care of myself (and we laugh a little, too). I have recommended her classes to several friends and co-workers. Thanks for giving me a part of my life back!

I am taking my second series of introductory Pilates classes with Rhonda Austin. Although I find the exercises challenging at times, the slow, controlled stretching movements feel great and the peaceful atmosphere calms my mind.
Apart from the actual experience in class, the Pilates breathing method has also helped my endurance in running enormously, as well as helped me strengthen and stabilize my back so that I run more freely and without the lower back pain I used to experience.
I'm hooked!

I have taken several Pilates classes with Rhonda. I have taken both the Mat I and II.
Pilates has changed
my life. I entered into Pilates on a recommendation from my family doctor because of lower
back problems.
Doing Pilates with Rhonda has eased my daily back aches.
I enjoy Pilates in that it
allows for "challenge by choice" meaning, if your
body is not comfortable in a certain position, you do not have to go there. You
are given the option to challenge yourself to your own personal limit.
I strongly recommend taking
Pilates with Rhonda. She makes sure that each one of her students is
understanding and making a connection with each movement.
Rhonda shows a true
passion in her teaching that makes her love for Pilates contagious! I
am doing Pilates 3 times a week now.
